Teaching

MA programme 2008/2009

In total 198 participants from 55 countries are enrolled in the MA programme 2008/09: 114 women and 84 men. The average age is 31 years. Some countries are very well represented this year: 14 students coming from Indonesia, 14 from India and 12 each from Uganda and Ethiopia. There was also a remarkably high number of 10 participants from Canada this year.

Diploma Programmes and Short Courses 2008

Five Diploma Programmes and Short Courses were given in 2008 with a total of 60 students.

Student funding for MA programme

About one third of MA students receive a fellowship from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP). ISS is a preferred university for the Ford International Fellowship Programme and the Joint Japan/World Bank fellowship fund. Some students have a Huygens Fellowship, a programme for excellent young students, and a substantial number from Indonesia are able to study with a Stuned fellowship.
