Workshop of the Information Management Working Group (IMWG) of the European Association of Development Research and Training Institutes (EADI)
The 2007 EADI / IMWG Workshop was held at the Institute of Social Studies in the Hague from 26 to 28 September. This year the central theme was "The relevance of Open Access for Global Development, Development Cooperation and Research". During this conference we wished to stimulate the debate on this topic between scholars, publishers, open access advocates and commercial firms, and of course librarians.
Details can be found by using the Conference information toolbar at the right side of the screen.

On Wednesday 26 september during the pre conference day, the attending EADI participants discussed the emerging trends over the next 5 years. What do we need to be planning for as Information and Knowledge Managers? What are the big changes that will affect the way we work - in technology, user behaviour, new burning issues, new aid architecture, and other areas? The results of this meeting can be read here.
