The Conference took place on 3 and 4 September 2009 at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in The Hague.
Focusing on the role of ‘Policies for Reducing Inequality in the Developing World’, this year’s PEGNet conference aimed at providing a platform for a dialogue between development researchers, practitioners and policy-makers.
The two conference days featured sessions based on invited and contributed papers, debates, round tables and keynote speeches by renowned speakers from academia, policy and development practice. At the conference, PEGNet awarded a prize to best-practices in cooperation between researchers and practitioners.
The conference was co-organized by PEGNet, the GTZ and ISS / MMDP research cluster.
