Debate on presentation WRR report
The Ducth Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR) will present their new report, Less Pretension, More Ambition (Minder Pretentie, Meer Ambities).
This report, presented to Development Cooperation Minister Bert Koenders on 18 January 2010, focuses on the future of development aid, which has recently become a widely discussed theme in the media and with a number of prominent books.
The question whether this aid actually helps exercises many minds. Moreover, a number of important shifts have occurred, and developing countries are no longer what they were in the 1960s, when development aid made its first appearance.
