Most of the participants of ISS courses have never before been to the Netherlands. Others may have only a slight knowledge of the life in this country. We are aware that due to this, some of you may feel a bit lost at the beginning of your stay here.

In order to help you adapt quickly to life in the Netherlands, ISS has put together a booklet with essential and practical information. It can be downloaded here:

Welcome Book 2009 (216.75 kB)

We hope it answers at least those questions that always arise when one is in unfamiliar surroundings. We realise that there will be many questions to which this booklet gives no answers. In that case do not hesitate to contact the Welfare Office or an 'old' participant. You are also invited to give some suggestions about useful - but lacking - information, which can help to improve a next version of this booklet.

We are here to help you and to make your stay convenient and pleasant so you can get the most out of your studies in The Hague. So please call on us, whenever you need!

We hope you have a good start and we look forward to meeting you!
