ISS offers a 15.5 months MA Programme in Development Studies.  Within this programme there are many possibilities to specialize further. Whether you are interested in the environment, social policy, the economics of development, or public management there is a possibility to make sure that you tailor the programme to your own needs and interests. That is what makes the ISS programme so unique!

When you apply for admission to the ISS MA programme you apply for a Major.

ISS offers the following five Majors:

Agrarian and Environmental Studies (AES)

Economics of Development (ECD)

• Governance, Policy and Political Economy (GPPE)

• Human Rights, Gender and Conflict Studies: Social Justice Perspectives (SJP)

• Social Policy for Development (SPD)
