Study visit Floricultura - 29 Feb 2012
On 29 February 2012 Professor Bert Helmsing and a group of 23 students taking the Promoting Local Economic Development course, went on a study visit to the village of Heemkerker. The visit was marked with a captivating presentation by two retired horticultural entrepreneurs who gave an overview of horticultural development in the Netherlands since the 1950s.
The delegation from ISS also made a stopover at the Heemskerker Floricultura, a Dutch company which specializes in the breeding, selection and propagation of orchids..
