Pedro Veiga Vaz da Silva Goulart (P)
Area of interest
Pedro's interests cover areas such as Development Economics, Development Studies, Economic History, Economics of Education and Labour Economics. He is now pursuing a PhD on schooling and child labour in Portugal.
Before his PhD, he was a senior officer from a Statistical Unit on Child Labour (SIETI) within the Labour Ministry and a research fellow at CISEP-UTL and ISS. He lectured at the undergraduate (Instituto Piaget) and master levels (ISS).
He studied Economics for his undergraduate degree at Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão (Universidade Técnica de Lisboa) and Development Economics for his MSc at a joint course offered by three Dutch Universities (Institute of Social Studies, Vrije Universiteit and Wageningen Universiteit).
