Research
Geographical interests: Egypt, the Middle East, North Africa, and Southern Africa. Theoretical interests: feminism, post-colonialism, critical theory, political economy. My current research is focused on the role of various elite groups during the 2011 Egyptian uprising. My previous research consisted of anthropological fieldwork on the narratives of protesters that participated in the 2011 Egyptian uprising.
