Research
My current research is primarily focused on the agrarian political economy of land struggles in rural Brazil. The struggle, conflict, and interaction between and among social movements, the state, and capital are of primacy for my research. The co-existence, trajectories, relationships, linkages, and contradictions of Brazilian agriculture in terms of agro-industry, land grabs, agroecology, and family farming are key concepts for my research.
