Cut or increase development aid?
The different approaches by the British and Dutch governments.
ISS lecturer Arjan de Haan is quoted in an article by Mirjam Vossen in Dutch development journal Vice Versa in which she discusses the different approaches by the British and Dutch governments. Whilst the British government has put a moratorium on cutting development aid, the new Dutch government wants to make radical cuts.
Arjan de Haan point out that in this respect, the Dutch government is bucking the trend in terms of development aid.
