Former ISS professor Ruud Teekens deceased

We were informed that our former professor Ruud Teekens has sadly past away early May 2012.

Professor Teekens was with ISS from 1978 until 1994, initially as Reader in Statistics and Econometrics, from 1980 onwards as Professor in Statistics and Econometrics and later as Senior Advisory and Extraordinary Professor in the area of quantitative socio-economics.

We remember Ruud Teekens as a very friendly and inspiring colleague whose research was ahead of its time, as he always emphasized the relation between research and public policy.

Our thoughts are with his wife Lidia (former student of ISS), his daughters Maria and Eva, brother Niels and further friends and family.
