ISS staff and PhD student publications on global land grabbing just released!

Emeritus Professor Ben White co-guest edited a special issue of the Journal of Peasant Studies entitled, ‘The new enclosures: critical perspectives on corporate land deals'

Journal of Peasant Studies - special edition

The introductory essay is co-authored by Professor White and Dr. Saturnino M. (‘Jun’) Borras Jr. (together with Ian Scoones, Ruth Hall and Wendy Wolford).

Professor White is co-author (with Julia) of another article in the collection: ‘Gendered experiences of dispossession: oil palm expansion in a Dayak Hibun community in West Kalimantan’.

Professor Max Spoor and ISS PhD student Natalia Mamonova are co-authors (with Dr. Visser) of the article, ‘Oligarchs, megafarms and land reserves: understanding land grabbing in Russia’.

Dr. Borras, Professor Spoor and Emeritus Professor Cristobal Kay are co-authors (with Dr. Franco and Dr. Gomez) of another article in the collection: ‘Land grabbing in Latin America and the Caribbean’.
