Passing away Luciënne Maas

It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Luciënne Maas passed away on Saturday 28 July 2012.

Luciënne Maas defended her PhD  entitled 'A Time to Enrol, a Time to Stop..... Policies, Perceptions and Practices Influencing the Right to Education in Yemen' on 12 April 2012.

Throughout her work on the PhD, she was fighting a serious illness. She will be remembered for her original and valuable research on education and young people in Yemen, for her work more generally in development in Afghanistan and various Middle Eastern countries, and for the incredible courage and stamina with which she completed her PhD.

The funeral ceremony will be held on Friday 3 August 2012 at 11:15 hrs. in Crematorium Westerveld, Duin en Kruidbergerweg 2-6, in Driehuis.
