Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation pays courtesy call to ISS

Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation meets ISS staff and students

During her visit, Lilianne Ploumen met with ISS Rector Leo de Haan, with ISS MA students, PhD researchers and with ISS teaching and research staff.

Minister Ploumen had a lively discussion with the students, asking them for their ideas thoughts on how the Dutch government could help their countries. She was also very interested to hear what their reasons were for choosing to study at ISS.

The Minister was given a presentation on research and teaching at ISS and about the importance of ISS alumni. She welcomed the global approach ISS has to teaching, research and outreach.

Accompanying the Minister on her visit to ISS were a number of Ministry officials.
