Public Hearing on Land Grabbing in Dutch Parliament
Testimony by Jun Borras
On 12 February 2013, Associate Professor Jun Borras gave testimony in the Dutch Parliament during a ‘Public Hearing on Land Grabbing’ organized by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs General Committee on Foreign Trade and Development.
The Dutch government is reconsidering its policy on overseas land investments by Dutch and European companies, as well as its development aid policy.
It is particularly keen to consider how its policy impacts on food security.
