Social Media and the International Power Structure

 Lionsclubs in The Hague organise for the sixth consecutive year the Lions UN-Day, an event to honour therelationship between the two institutions. This year the International Institute of Social Studies hosts the event. The International Relations Committee of the Institute play an important role in the programme. The theme of the Lions UN-Dag is “Social Media and the international Power Structure”. The students, Raul Escobar from Colombia and Sara Salem from Egypt will give presentations on the use and effect of social media in the international field of nations and organisations, based on facts, their own opinions and experiences. Mrs Zehra Sariaslan, representative of the Dutch Youth Council to the UN General Assembly and Mrs. Helen Hintjens, Senior Lecturer at the ISS will further elaborate the theme of the day.

 From 13.30 hours coffees and teas will be served.
