Description
Colloquium on the occasion of the ISS 60th anniversary
A conversation with Hilary Wainright, Susan Paulson, Ipek Ilkaracan Ajas and Wendy Harcourt
About the Colloquium
The Colloquium on 'Gender and Economic Justice' will explore questions around gender, economic and social policy in relation to the paradigmatic shift required to liberate human and social well-being from the tyranny of neo liberal logic founded on GDP-growth.
The session will highlight the latest feminist thinking on the care economy and critiques of unsustainable and undemocratic production and consumption patterns of today's global capitalism.
These leading feminist analysts will discuss their vision for social justice based on gender aware social policies required for a democratic, inclusive and environmentally sound economic development.
