Break-out session 5: Role of DFIs and IFIs in Public Private Partnerships
To increase the capacity to deliver sufficient quality health services, it is necessary to mobilize all the institutions in society that can deliver such services. The public sector has not been able to meet all the requirements and demand for health services of the population.
Over the past years there has been a shift in vision and policy with respect to the role of the private sector in delivering healthcare. KfW, FMO and IFC will briefly present the current state of their affairs, focusing on what challenges they face in practice, and what they deem required to establish a sustainable, profitable, and transparent health insurance branch.
