Research in Progress Seminars

The Research in Progress seminars are intended to provide an informal venue for presentations of ongoing research by ISS scholars (including staff and PhD candidates) and other scholars from the wider development studies community.

Topics can range from livelihoods in Latin America and child labour in Portugal to conservation and communities in Africa and gender and development in Nepal; basically anything to do with development issues is welcome. The seminars last for one hour, half an hour for the presentation and the other half for questions and discussion. As always with such research seminars, the engaged participation by staff and students, both as presenters and as audiences is fundamental.
