Research programmes
ISS research is at the cutting edge of a range of development and development-related fields of enquiry, focusing on:
- economic and political inclusion,
- governance,
- globalization impact on equity and
- sustainable economic development.
The ISS research programmes provide an academic home for PhD researchers who actively participate in the research activities, seminars and conferences and networks.
ISS is founding member of Erasmus EUR Graduate School in Social Sciences and the Humanities and the Netherlands School in Development Research (CERES). It collaborates with strategic networks and like-minded research institutions in the global south and the global north.
