ICAS Research

ICAS will conceptualize and spearhead innovative and cutting-edge research initiatives.

Most of these research projects will be:

  • academically excellent
  • politically relevant
  • policy-oriented

They will naturally require and draw in the participation of the world’s leading academics, civil society activists and development policy experts in such research undertakings.

The Land Deal Politics Initiative

ICAS is currently hosting the secretariat charged with co-coordinating the newly launched The Land Deal Politics Initiative (LDPI), which is an international research initiative on the issue of ‘global land grabbing’.
