Bernardo Mançano Fernandes, geographer, full Professor of Graduate Program in Geography of the Universidade Estadual Paulista – UNESP (São Paulo State University), Presidente Prudente, campus. PhD. at Geography from Universidade de São Paulo (1999), post-doctorate at Latin American Studies from University of South Florida (2008). Has experience in Human Geography, focusing on Agrarian Geography, acting on the following subjects: Landless Movement (MST); Agrarian question, Struggle for land, Agrarian reform; Territorial and Rural Development and Theory of territory. Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in Territorial Development and Education for the Countryside at UNESP.
