Cristóbal Kay is Emeritus Professor of the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University Rotterdam; and Professorial Research Associate of the Department of Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. His research interests are in the fields of rural development and development theory, with particular reference to Latin America. He is one of the editors of the Journal of Agrarian Change.
