Henry Veltmeyer is Professor of Professor of Sociology and International Development Studies at St. Mary’s University (Halifax, Canada) and Development Studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas in Mexico.  He is author, coauthor and editor of over 40 books on Latin American social movements and issues of Latin American and world development, including Dynamics of Social Change in Latin America (2007); and, with James Petras,; Multinationals on Trial (2007);  and What’s Left in Latin America (2009).
