UNICEF
UNICEF - Unite for Children The Social and Economic Policy Unit of the UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre (IRC), based in Florence (Italy), is undertaking a literature review on the phenomenon of ‘land-grabbing’. The aim of the review is to identify potential transmission channels of the shocks associated with this phenomenon, which could affect children and youth of poor rural households. These impacts could be both potentially positive and negative, which may include changes in households’ income levels and access to basic services. The literature review will then propose an agenda for future research to inform policies that target these at-risk groups. The team working on this project is composed of junior researchers: Bethelhem Ketsela Moulat (MA in International Political Economy), Ereblina Elezaj (MSc in Public Policy), Ian Brand-Weiner (MSc in Public Policy) and Dr. Lucia Luzi (Phd in Analysis and Governance of Sustainable Development), all based at IRC (www.unicef-irc.org).
