Although ISS alumni are scattered all around the world, many keep in touch with the people they studied with - both staff and fellow students. In many countries alumni of Dutch higher education institutes (incl many ISS alumni) have set up a Netherlands Alumni Association (NAA) or a Holland Alumni Network (HAN) with which ISS has a good relationship.
NAAs and HANs enable alumni all over the world to build personal networks and share knowledge, ideas and experiences with each other and their Dutch counterparts. NAAs organize a number of activities in their home countries including:
- formal seminars
- informal social and cultural get-togethers
- preparation meetings for people planning to study in the Netherlands
