The

International Forum on Intercountry Adoption & Global Surrogacy 

brought together scholars and practitioners working in the field of international adoption and surrogacy to provide an evidence base for international adoption and surrogacy problems and/or best practices to inform policymakers from The Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption.

Deepa Venkatachalam


Director of the Sama-Resource Group for Women and Health

Specialist in the social, medical, ethical and economic implications of inter country adoption and surrogacy for women and for society as a whole.
