Elyse Mills is a PhD researcher in the Political Ecology Research Group at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in the Netherlands. Her current research focuses on the dynamics of overlapping fisheries, food and climate politics, with a particular interest in the role of transnational fishers’ movements and global governance processes. She also has an MA in Agrarian and Environmental Studies (specialization in Agriculture and Rural Development) from ISS, and a BA in International Development Studies from York University in Canada. She also has an MA in Agrarian and Environmental Studies (specialization in Agriculture and Rural Development) from ISS, and a BA in International Development Studies from York University in Canada. She also works with many civil society groups on food and environmental issues, and currently co-coordinates the Emancipatory Rural Politics Initiative (ERPI) secretariat.
