Land initiatives at ISS

Land, Poverty, Social Justice and Development

Land has remained high in the official agendas of multilateral international development institutions, social movements, development funding agencies and the academic community. Land, broadly defined, is a cross-cutting theme in research and teaching interest at ISS continues the long tradition of research and teaching by many staff at the institute.

What the Land initiative does

The land initiative continues to evolve. It organized a large conference in 2006, completed a joint research with UNDP, and has launched the Routledge/ISS Book Series in Land and Livelihoods.

More initiatives on research, trainings and publication will be developed and pursued in the future.
