Welcome to ISS!

More than 10,000 people from all over the world have studied at ISS. Why? Because of our Institute's academic approach: ISS is a diverse intellectual community that challenges and debates with conventional, mainstream approaches that tend to oversimplify the study and practice of development. While a theoretical approach lies at the core of ISS, our extensive research and policy-oriented projects indicate an equally strong practical understanding that is brought forth in our teaching programmes. ISS has become well-known as a truly international centre in a friendly, vibrant and cosmopolitan learning environment. Curious? The following four steps provide an easy walk-through of what ISS has to offer you and your future career.

How do these steps work? They remain present in the top right-hand toolbar, unless you are brought to another part of the website that provides you with more in-depth information on a subject. You can return to the prospective students section via the quicklinks or the homepage. If you have any questions at all, please go to Contact under quicklinks to get in touch with the Student Office.
