  • 21 Jan. 2026 - A recent article by Associate Professor Oane Visser in DevISSues is cited in this opinion piece published in Dutch broadsheet Volkskrant. The opinion piece (in Dutch) discusses the role and influence of Dutch food diplomacy. It investigates how the Netherlands can remain strategically relevant in terms of food production and refers to Visser et al's DevISSues article in which they argue that food has for a long time been an important geopolitical instrument and weapon.
