Global campaign against violence towards women and girls
ISS building in orange colouring with orange handprint

Violence against women and girls is not inevitable. It is shaped by systems, policies and everyday choices and it can be dismantled. Orange the World, a UN initiative, is a global call to break the silence, confront the roots of gender-based violence and stand with those who resist it. At ISS, researchers, students and partners work across the world to uncover the patterns, power structures and lived realities behind gender-based violence.
