Building on global evidence, Indarti's presentation will examine the relevance of frugal innovation for addressing healthcare challenges in Indonesia. As an archipelagic country characterized by geographical diversity, unequal healthcare access, and resource constraints across regions, Indonesia provides a fertile context for exploring affordable, context-sensitive and inclusive healthcare innovations.

The presentation highlights how frugal innovation can contribute to improving healthcare accessibility, strengthening service delivery in underserved areas and supporting the development of sustainable healthcare solutions. It also discusses potential opportunities for future research, policy development, and healthcare practice within the Indonesian context.
