EverydayNile: Water, Energy, and Food Justice Along and Beyond the Nile River

Funded through European Journalism Center & Journalism Science Allience and Implemented by IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and The Contrapuntal Magazine, this edition brings together photographers, researchers and project partners from across three Nile Basin countries – Ethiopia, Sudan and Egypt – to examine how environmental and social changes are experienced by communities living along the river.

The exhibition presents photographic stories in those countries developed by photographers working with communities and researchers on issues ranging from water access and environmental change to food systems, livelihoods and the everyday realities of people living with the Nile.

The evening will also feature a panel discussion between researchers, photographers and project partners, reflecting on the process of bringing scientific research and visual storytelling together.

The programme will conclude with a reception with drinks and snacks, offering an informal space for researchers, photographers, students, journalists and the wider public to meet, exchange ideas and continue the conversation.
