Exploring frugality and inclusive technological change

In her presentation, 'Exploring frugality and inclusive technological change: Medical device innovations from manufacturing firms in South Africa', Sanghamitra will discuss the lack of frugal medical devices which remains a global health concern. 

She connects this perspective to the accumulation of technological capabilities in developing countries to present innovations from manufacturing firms in South Africa. She argues that fostering frugal innovations from the Global South in critical sectors such as health can contribute to more inclusive and path creating technological change.
