Covid-19 response - face masks

How have organizations working in international development cooperation experienced solidarity during the Covid-19 pandemic?

With international travel virtually banned, internet communications often hampered, and funding prospects increasingly unclear, many challenges emerged. The International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) and several international NGOs in The Hague invite you to join an online learning exchange webinar on how international solidarity has changed over the past few months, and what can be learned from it.

The webinar focuses on sharing short personal stories about recent experiences with (international) solidarity during the pandemic.

It will bring together ISS students as well as professionals from all over the world, working in the field of international development, peace, and social justice.

Several small breakout groups will facilitate exchanges and the harvesting of lessons from the stories, and interactive plenaries we will serve to arrive at a synthesis. The webinar is part of an exploratory research event focused at interactive and participatory knowledge sharing between academics and practitioners.

Moderators

The webinar will be moderated by Dr Kees Biekart, Olivia Bwalya and Vemuri Sushrutha.
