Welcome to the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS)! Get ready to kickstart this academic year. We are looking forward to an exciting academic year with a new batch of students. Your first term at ISS is arguably one of the most challenging. You will most likely spend a lot of time familiarizing yourself and dealing with administrative aspects as a new resident of The Hague and a new student of ISS.

Attention Mundus MAPP & GMD students

Students of the Mundus MAPP and Governance of Migration and Diversity (GMD) programmes will have modified schedules during Introduction Week. You can download the schedules, per major, below for more information. Information and questions regarding introduction week for GMD students can be directed to course convenor, Dr Nanneke Winters (winters@iss.nl).

  • What can I expect during Introduction Week?

    During Introduction Week, you get to know your fellow students, ISS faculty, and the rich student life that ISS offers. But, more importantly, we will inform you of the required actions to take during the start of Term 1. The programme includes informational and social sessions with practical information to help you make the most of your start at ISS!

  • MA Orientation Portal on MyEUR

    Before Introduction Week begins for new students, you can get familiar with programming, information and resources at ISS by visiting the Orientation Portal for 2023-2024. The portal is available through MyEUR, the intranet website for ISS and Erasmus University Rotterdam. To view this webpage, please log in using your ERNA account.
