The seminar will include expert contributions from Rose Bashwira (ISS/CREGED), Aloys Mahwa (Living Peace Institute, Goma) and Henny Slegh (Living Peace Institute, Goma).

At the beginning of the session, an excerpt from the documentary Men Beyond War (2022), which focuses on the work of the Living Peace Institute in working with men (including former militants) in Eastern DRC. 

Filmmaker Ilse van Velsen and HSC Director Thea Hilhorst will also contribute to the discussion.

  • Showing of ‘Men Beyond War’ short film
  • Expert intervention by Rose Bashwira, ISS & CREGED
  • Discussion moderated by Kaira Canete, HSC

Those in the room are also encouraged to join the discussion, pose questions or contribute their own knowledge around MHPSS, SGBV or other relevant topics.
