About this event

Reading the City is a monthly reading group bringing together artists, academics, writers, and curious others to explore how we live with waste, materials, and urban ecologies. Each session is led by a different voice: one week an artist curates, the next an academic, then an engineer, a writer - each shaping what we read and how we read it. We come to texts together: sometimes with readings sent in advance, sometimes through close-reading, discovering them in the room.

About the co-organizers:

Alongside ISS, the event is co-organized by:

Collective.Wasteland
A transdisciplinary festival exploring waste ecologies through art performance and collective research.

The Hague Humanity Hub
A collaborative platform for changemakers working towards a more peaceful and just world.
