Drawing on the 2021 Slovakian Population and Housing Census, Trommlerová shows that one in four households with children are single-parent households. The majority are female-run households and in many of these with children under the age of six the mothers are economically inactive and live in shared housing.

In her research, Trommlerová  also measured agency, resiliency and well-being of single parents using internationally renowned scales. In this seminar, she will discuss her findings of 1,000 single parents in Slovakia.
