Part of the Beloved Waters exhibition at Stroom in The Hague, the Gathering Water Imaginaries discussion brings together academics and artists to discuss water imaginaries.

The panel is a collaboration between Shahnoor Hasan (Deltares), Jelmer Teunissen (designer and architect) and Farhad Mukhtarov (ISS) to discuss water imaginaries of and in the Netherlands and how these inform the global modes of water governance, management and investment.

It will focus on the themes of the 'polder' in the Netherlands and in the world (as an export product and a framework of thinking and action), the self-image of the Netherlands in terms of water management, transfer and translation of water governance expertise, and the ambivalences and contradictions that climate change exposes in water imaginaries of the Netherlands.
