Charity: Help or Harm?

5 September is the International Day of Charity. According to the United Nations, "Charity at its core is an expression of global solidarity. It brings people together to build more just and resilient societies, whether through direct giving, volunteering, or collective action." But charity is also questioned as a force that may unintentionally do harm.
