The University Library offers trial access to CAB Abstracts until 30 June 2026. CAB Abstracts is a leading applied life sciences database with over 16 million records covering agriculture, environment, human health, and more.
CAB Abstracts is a bibliographic database produced by CABI, an international non-profit organisation that provides scientific information and expertise in agriculture and environmental science.
The database indexes thousands of core scientific journals and includes a wide range of non-journal literature. This includes publications from over 120 countries, such as annual reports, books, conference proceedings, and technical bulletins.
CAB Abstracts also provides access to more than 938,000 full-text documents through the CABI full-text repository. A unique feature of CAB Abstracts is its global coverage, including research from the Global South, which is often underrepresented in other databases.
