Development and Change has once again improved its rating in the Clarivate Web of Science Citation Report, showing it to be one of the leading critical and heterodox journals in development studies.
The journal's impact factor (JIF) rose from 3.0 to 3.2. The journal is now in position 13 out of 65 journals in the Development Studies category.
Published on behalf of the International Institute of Social Studies, Development and Change publishes critical and cutting-edge articles that push the boundaries of scholarship and debate on a broad range of contemporary and emerging development issues, with a focus on the Global South and the peripheries of global capitalism.
Interdisciplinary and pluralist in character, Development and Change invites scholarship from across the social sciences, from economics to anthropology, and encourages innovative contributions and critical analyses that engage with diverse theoretical perspectives and methods, and that integrate theory and policy with empirical evidence.
The editorial board and office are located at ISS in The Hague.
