D (Delu) Lusambya Mwenebyake

Biography

PhD researcher at the International Institute of Social Studies (Erasmus University Rotterdam), Delu is working on humanitarian governance in the Democratic Republic of Congo: Community-driven, accountability, and advocacy in Humanitarian Actions. The main question of this research is how bottom-up accountability and advocacy are being implemented in the DRC.
He holds a Master's degree in "International organizations and the protection of Human Rights" from the Human Rights Institute of Lyon-Catholic University of Lyon in France.

With 12 years of experience in humanitarian and development organizations, Delu has significant experience in project management,  peacebuilding, and youth programming in DRC, Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi. He speaks French, English, and Swahili.
