The Global Health and Economic Development Academic Team addresses health and development challenges facing low- and middle-income countries.
The team will investigate the determinants of health disparities and scrutinize the effectiveness of health interventions, with a view to informing policies that strengthen health systems and reduce the burden of disease.

- universal health coverage (including health equity
- access to care
- financial protection
- health care financing, infrastructure and governance)
- maternal and child health
- sexual and reproductive health
- the nutrition transition
