Do you want to learn more about poverty, the most pressing social problem of our era, and how it is tackled across different regions and social groups? Apply for the minor in Global Poverty, Local Solutions! This minor is offered by the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS; part of Erasmus University Rotterdam), a leading centre of policy-oriented critical social science. In this interdisciplinary minor, you will be introduced to the study of global poverty in international development. You will analyse the social and economic processes underlying poverty, learning how to critically evaluate poverty-reduction programmes on global, regional, and local levels. No prior training in economics is required.
