ISS alumna and economist Malty Dwarkasing has been appointed as the new Director of the Vereniging Surinaams Bedrijfsleven VSB (Association of Companies in Suriname). She took up position on 1 January 2021
Representing the interests of Surinamese business owners, this is the first time since its establishment in 1950 that the VSB has had a female director. Malty Dwakasing takes over the directorship from Paul Torilal.
Malty Dwakasing studied at the International Institute of Social Studies in the Development Planning Technique programme in 1998.
