DevISSues Vol.21, No.2 - November 2019 - Human and Environmental Justice
DevISSues Vol.21, No.2 - November 2019 - Human and Environmental Justice

The latest DevISSues inlcudes three articles on the main theme as well as a review of diversity and inclusion at ISS, a review of a social protection project, new publications and much, much more

In this issue, Tamara Harte (PhD advisor) and Zuleika Sheik (PhD researcher) talk about their participation in the ISS Diversity and Inclusion Team - why they joined, what they have learned and how the Team is working to make ISS even more inclusive.

We also have a report on one of our research projects on the political economy of externally financed social policy (AIDSOCPRO). The research team's findings highlight some of the systematic political and economic challenges facing global redistribution towards poorer countries.

For our Where are they now? feature we asked Bilal Aurang Zeb Durrani from Pakistan and Jie Zhang from the USA to share their experiences of ISS - what it meant to them to study here and how their studies contributed to their future careers.

And our students once again share their photos of ISS, of The Hague, of the Netherlands - clogs, canals and 'oliebollen'.
